You can create new tasks in multiple ways within the system. Below are the steps for both methods, along with details on using task templates and the fields involved.
Methods to Create a Task
1. Create Task from Project Details Page

Navigate to Project Details:
- From the main menu, go to Projects.
- Select the specific project where you want to create a task.
- Go to the "Tasks" tab within the project details page.

Click on "New Task":
- In the "Tasks" tab, click the "New Task" button to start creating a task.

2. Create Task from Tasks Page
- Navigate to Tasks:
- From the main menu, go to Tasks.
- Click on the "New Task" button.

Task Creation Process
Regardless of the method you choose, follow these steps to create a task:

Select Task Template:
- Template: Choose a task template from the list. The template will automatically fill in the task details and checklist items.

Enter Task Details:
- Subject: Enter a concise and descriptive subject for the task.
- Milestone: If applicable, select the milestone this task is associated with.
- Start Date: Set the date when the task should begin.
- Due Date: Set the deadline for the task completion.
- Priority: Select the priority level for the task (Low, Medium, High, Urgent).
- Repeat Every: If the task is recurring, set the recurrence interval (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly).
- Project: It will be selected based on the template.
- Assignees: Specify team members responsible for completing the task.
- Insert Checklist Templates: Use the checklist templates associated with the task template to auto-fill checklist items.
- Tags: Add relevant tags to the task for easier categorization.
- Task Description: Provide detailed information about the task, including specific instructions or objectives.

- Add Comments: Inside the task modal, click on the "Comments" link to add comments. Team members who can view the task, including the creator, assignees, and followers, can comment for further collaboration.
- Attach Files to Comments: If needed, attach files to comments by dragging and dropping them into the comment area.
